Anamae Celara (Kauderman) Stauffer
Anamae Celara (Kauderman) Stauffer, 87, of Mechanicsburg , died at Messiah Village on Thursday, December 6, 2012. She was born in Lykens, on Sunday, May 10, 1925, daughter of the late William Kauderman and Anna (Lewis) Kauderman. Anamae was the wife of Jacob Robert “Bob” Stauffer whom she married on February 12, 1949.
Anamae graduated from John Harris High School as part of the class of 1943 and from Harrisburg Hospital Nursing School in 1947 as a registered nurse. Anamae was a member of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church and it’s craft group in Mechanicsburg. She was a loving mother. Anamae was a strong leader in her role as a nurse while still being a team player. She strived to continue to learn and enjoyed reading. Anamae spent a lot time gardening and loved to go antiquing with her sister Harriet.
Anamae’s survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Bob; her loving children, Laurie D. Stauffer of Mechanicsburg and Jay R. Stauffer of New Cumberland; two sisters, Harriet Seavers of Elizabethtown and Carol Alimenti and her husband Carl of Moosic.
Cremation will be private and at the family’s convenience.
