Andrew Brian Hoover, age 52, of Harrisburg, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022.  He was born on Monday, March 3, 1969, in Lancaster to Richard Dean Hoover and Darinda (Mrowinski) Hoover.  Andrew is preceded in death by his sister, Aileen Marie Hoover.

Andrew’s survivors include his parents, Richard “Dick” and Darinda “Dorrie” Hoover of Mechanicsburg; his sister, Marie Elizabeth Maxwell and husband, David, of Mechanicsburg; and his two nephews: Brandon Davis Maxwell and Dean William Maxwell.

Andrew graduated from Lampeter-Stasburg High School in Lancaster as part of the class of 1988 and from Shippensburg University in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.  While attending university, he was involved with the Young Republicans, Adventure Club, and student government.  He was currently employed with the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) in the Governor’s Budget Office in Harrisburg, where he worked for the past 28 ½ years as a RACP Specialist II.  Andrew enjoyed boating and riding motorcycles.  He also liked to go skiing, especially with his nephews when they were younger.

Andrew’s family will be remembering his life privately.  Interment in Holy Saviour Cemetery in York will be at the family’s convenience.  Cremation was private.
