Anna Etta (Wickard) Yohe, 90, of New Kingstown, died at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation on Monday, October 22, 2012. She was born in Mechanicsburg, on Friday, January 13, 1922, daughter of the late James L. Wickard and Laura M. (Brenneman) Wickard. Anna was the widow of Charles W. Yohe.
Anna was a very active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in New Kingstown, where she helped in the church office for many years. She was a member of the Sunday School Orchestra and also served on many various church committees. Anna was very devoted to caring for her youngest daughter, Laura.
Anna’s survivors include her loving children, Charles W. Yohe, Jr., and his wife Barbara of West Cornwall, CT, Edgar G. Yohe of Lakeland, FL, Linda K. Yohe of Summerdale; a sister, Vicki Lenker of Mechanicsburg; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Among those preceding Anna in death are two daughters, Laura Yohe and Florence Yohe; siblings, Walter Wickard, Edgar Wickard, James Wickard, Clyde Wickard, and Loyle Heisey and several nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to join Anna’s family at her Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at 10:00 at Trinity United Methodist Church , 4 West Main Street, New Kingstown, PA 17072, with Reverend Eric L. Funk and Reverend Joseph L. Kugle officiating. Burial will be private and at the family’s convenience in Mechanicsburg Cemetery .
Anna’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at her church following the service. The family suggests memorial contributions to her church. The family sends their most heartfelt thanks to everyone at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation and Hospice For All Seasons who so lovingly cared for Anna during her illness.
