Arlene Joanne Neumyer-Lampman

Arlene Joanne (Wagner) Neumyer-Lampman, age 85, of Mechanicsburg, died on Saturday, November 11, 2023.  Arlene was born on Saturday, May 7, 1938, in Enola to the late Bruce Earl Wagner and Mildred C. (Foltz) Kraly.  Arlene was the widow of William M. Neumyer, whom she married on November 23, 1957, and who died on September 4, 1993 and of George E. Lampman, who died on November 22, 2018.  In addition to her parents and husbands, Arlene is preceded in death by her two sons: William “Billy” M. Neumyer Jr and Robert “Bobby” W. Neumyer; and her three siblings: Donald E. Wagner, David D. Wagner, and Shirley Zook.

Arlene’s survivors include her two daughters: Shirlene Kaye Klinger and her husband, Jay, of Harrisburg, Patricia “Patti” Anne Gottshall of Mechanicsburg; her five grandchildren: Sheldon Neumyer-Shive, Christopher Gottshall, Cayla Gottshall, Shanna Palmer, Jenny Gray; her three great-grandchildren: Jaydon Jones, Zachary Cox, Joshua Cox; her two great great grandchildren: Stella Mae, Lincoln Robert; her brother: Bruce E. Wagner of Lemoyne; and several nieces and nephews.

Arlene graduated from East Pennsboro High School as part of the class of 1956.  She retired from Kraly’s Senior Citizens Home in Mechanicsburg, after serving as a Nurses Aid for many years.  Arlene enjoyed going to the casino playing the slot machines. She loved taking long drives and going out to eat where she could try new and interesting things to eat. Arlene adored animals, especially her pet Yorkies, and she had an African Gray Parrot named Nellie who was a constant source of entertainment for her. Arlene cherished time spent with her family at cookouts and family reunions, and she will be dearly missed by those fortunate enough to have known her.

All are welcome to join Arlene’s family at her viewing on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. at Buhrig Funeral & Cremation, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Pastor Phillip Zook officiating.  Burial will follow the service in Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Mechanicsburg.
