Arron Timothy Shatto
Arron Timothy Shatto, age 34, of Chula Vista, California, and formerly of Shermans Dale, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Arron was born on Thursday, October 27, 1988, in Harrisburg to Patsy Jane (Johnson) Roman and the late Philip Timothy Shatto.
Arron’s survivors include his mother, Patsy Jane (Johnson) Roman and her husband, Todd, of Shermans Dale; his brother and best friend, Austin Shatto and his wife, Courtnee, of Mechanicsburg; his step-mother, Amber Shatto of Mechanicsburg; his brother Markus Shatto of Mechanicsburg; his sister Felicity Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.
Arron graduated from West Perry High School as part of the class of 2007. A few years later in 2011 he enlisted in the United States Navy where he earned the rank of Chief Petty Officer (CPO). He served for 11 ½ years aboard both the USS Russell and USS Decatur. Arron was a character with a kind and gentle soul. He was funny and helpful and lived life to its fullest. Known to be a perfectionist, Arron was an extremely talented “go getter”. He taught himself to both play and build guitars and enjoyed playing golf. Arron loved his very fast BMW M3. Above all else, Arron loved his family. He needed family and people and greatly enjoyed FaceTiming with them. Arron will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
All are welcome to join Arron’s family at his gathering of family and friends on Sunday, November 20, 2022, from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; and his virtual gathering of family and friends and service via video chat or telephone beginning at 2:45 p.m.; with Celebrant George A. Spangler officiating. Military honors will be presented immediately following the service. Arron’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Buhrig’s Gathering Place (next to the funeral home) following military honors. Cremation will be private.
