Barbara “Barb” Diane (Robinson) Barnhart
Barbara “Barb” Diane (Robinson) Barnhart, age 75, of Chambersburg, was embraced by her family in heaven on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, while her son and daughter-in-law sat by her side. Barb was born on Sunday, November 10, 1946, in Chambersburg to the late Paul D. Robinson and Jean E. (Welker) Robinson. Barb was the widow of Dennis “Denny” Neil Barnhart, whom she married on December 27, 1968, and who died on July 20, 2019. In addition to her parents and husband, Barb is preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Ebersole.
Barb’s survivors include her son, Jeffrey “Brian” Barnhart and his fiancé, Kimberly A. Leshak, of Harrisburg; and her beloved miniature schnauzer, Buster Boy.
Barb graduated from Chambersburg High School as part of the class of 1964. She retired from F&M Bank in Chambersburg after more than 10 years of service working as a customer service representative and as a teller. Barb was a sweet, caring, loving and gentle woman who would do anything for anyone; she was selfless. Barb always put her family first and loved them beyond measure. Barb loved cats and had many since she was a child. As she became a young adult, Barb found a liking for miniature schnauzers and the family had many over time. She enjoyed knitting and curling up with a good book, especially novels by Danielle Steel or Nora Roberts. She had an affinity for collecting jewelry and grew quite a collection.
Barb’s family will be remembering her life privately. Cremation was private.
