Barbara “Barb” Lee (Bottomlee) Hoffman, age 85, of Hampden Township, passed away peacefully at Holy Spirit Hospital on Friday, August 19, 2022.  Barb was born on Thursday, December 17, 1936, in Dayton, TN to the late Charles Lee Bottomlee and Margaret “Mae” (Wilkey) Bostdorf.

Barb’s survivors include her husband of 65 years, Earl Edward Hoffman; her two sons: Randy Hoffman and his wife, Karna, of Dillsburg; Rick Hoffman and his wife, Stephanie, of Dillsburg; her 10 grandchildren; Kendra Hoffman; Josiah Hoffman and his wife, Elyssa; Brianna McKinzie and her husband, Jonny; Andrea Davis and her husband, Justin; Marissa Mueller and her husband, James; Micah Hoffman; James Hoffman; Joel Hoffman; Jenna Hoffman; John Hoffman; and her 12 great-grandchildren: Lila, Elynor, Lilyanna, Tyler, Ady, Wesley, Judah, Everly, Robbie, Avana, Gabriel and Augustine.

Barb graduated from Mechanicsburg High School in 1955.  Before she became a dedicated homemaker, Barb took up professional modeling.  Her modeling career began right out of high school with Charming Models Agency, and continued for a span of 25 years.  Barb was in many commercials and modeled in fashion shows for various department stores.  Her hobbies included camping and visiting the shore, most especially Rehoboth Beach, and she enjoyed playing the accordion in her younger years with her good friend, Pat.  Family was everything to Barb; her children and grandchildren were her life.  Barb will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

All are welcome to join Barb’s family at her gathering of family and friends on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 12:30 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Pastor Steve Spuler officiating.  Barb’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Buhrig’s Gathering Place (next to the funeral home) immediately following the service.  A graveside service and burial will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.  Honored to be pallbearers are Randy Hoffman, Rick Hoffman, Josiah Hoffman, James Hoffman, Joel Hoffman, John Hoffman and Micah Hoffman.
