Barry Lynn Horton

Barry Lynn Horton, age 57, of Mechanicsburg, died on Friday, February 5, 2021.  Barry was born on Tuesday, April 23, 1963, in Fort Dix, NJ to the late Ernest L. Horton and Iva Jane (Long) Horton.  In addition to his parents, Barry is preceded in death by his brother, Roger Horton.

Barry’s survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Jennifer “Jenni” Christine (Kerns) Horton; his stepdaughter, Joy Gregory and husband, Adam, of Harrisburg; his brother, Wayne Horton and wife, Elaine, of Hudson, FL; his nephew, Roger Horton, Jr.; and his niece, Melissa Horton.

Barry graduated from Mechanicsburg Area High School as part of the class of 1981.  He cofounded the West Shore Apostolic Church in Mechanicsburg, which was a home based ministry.  His true passion and life was the Lord and Bible.  Barry also enjoyed hiking and birdwatching, especially at Hawk Mountain.

Barry’s family will be remembering his life privately.  Scattering will be at the family’s convenience.  Cremation was private.

While Barry’s family will not be accepting flowers, they invite those wishing to celebrate Barry’s life with a memorial contribution to make them to a local food bank of the donor’s choosing.
