Beatrice “Bea” Lillian (Beard) Stackpole, 76, of Carlisle , died at Holy Spirit Hospital on Wednesday, September 12, 2012. She was born in Perry County, on Monday, July 6, 1936 daughter of the late Clayton Robert Beard and Mary Ellen (Kimmel) Beard. Bea was the widow of Creighton “Tad” Stackpole.
Bea graduated from John Harris High School as part of the class of 1955. She retired from Merchants & Businessman’s Mutual Insurance Company with over 20 years of service working as an underwriter. Bea was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Enola. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother who loved doting on her great-grandchildren. Bea enjoyed crocheting, reading and playing dominos. She was a member of the Antique Automobile Car Club of Hershey .
Bea’s survivors include her loving daughter, Cathleen Kiner and her husband John of Carlisle; two grandsons, Sean and Joshua Kiner, both of Carlisle; two great-grandchildren, Abby and Clayton Kiner; “brother and sister-in-law”, Earl and Linda Reisinger of Mechanicsburg, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
All are welcome to join Bea’s family at her viewing on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, from 10:00 until time of service at 11:30 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Reverend Norman “Skip” Spangler officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville. Bea’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at her church following the interment.
