Betty Arlene (Weber) Clevenger
Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, & Sister -
Betty Arlene (Weber) Clevenger, age 75, of Camp Hill, and formerly of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. Betty was born on Wednesday, October 28, 1942 in Monroe Township to the late Samuel George Weber, Sr. and Helen Marie (Schwartz) Weber. Betty was the widow of Daniel “Dan” Charles Clevenger, whom she married in 1967, and who died on July 8, 1978. In addition to her parents and husband, Betty is preceded in death by her son, David Allen Clevenger.
Betty’s survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Ann Musser and her husband, Dennis, of Dillsburg; her four grandchildren; her four great-grandchildren; her five siblings: Ruth Turns of Mechanicsburg, Mildred Shumberger of Mechanicsburg, Lester Weber and his wife, Eleanor, of Mechanicsburg, her twin sister, Thelma Mae Giles and her husband, Clair, of Wellsville, Samuel Weber, Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Shermans Dale; and several nieces and nephews.
Betty graduated from Mechanicsburg High School as part of the class of 1960. She retired from the Book of the Month Club in Mechanicsburg, after 28 years of service working as a machine operator. Betty enjoyed bowling and was part of a league with her husband, Dan, for many years. She also like planting flowers and crocheting.
All are welcome to join Betty’s family at her gathering of family and friends on Thursday, December 28, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant George Spangler officiating. Burial in Mechanicsburg Cemetery will be at the family’s convenience. Cremation was private.
