Betty Mae (Adams) Fitzer, 91, of Carlisle , and formerly of Altoona , died at Church of God Home in Carlisle on Thursday, December 19, 2013. She was born in Portage on Sunday, November 19, 1922, daughter of the late George and Marie Adams. Betty was the widow of Frederick D. Fitzer to whom she was married for 50 years.
Betty’s survivors include her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Betty was the owner/operator of a personal care home for mentally challenged women in Altoona for many years. She was a former employee of Sylvania Electric . Betty was a lifelong member of The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona. She loved to dance, travel, and have fun. Betty was a very loving person who contantly gave of herself to others.
All are welcome to join Betty’s family at her graveside service at 11:00 at Calvary Cemetery, 2417 Pleasant Valley Boulevard, Altoona , with Monsignor Robert Mazur officiating.
