Betty (Browning) Gilliam, 93, of Camp Hill , and formerly of Mechanicsburg and Richmond, VA, died on Friday, November 9, 2012. She was born in Richmond, on Sunday, October 26, 1919 daughter of the late Frank A. Browning and Annette Price Browning. Betty was the widow of William Gordon Gilliam to whom she was married for over 40 years.

Betty retired from Royal Globe Insurance Company, in Richmond with 25 years of service. She also volunteered at local hospitals after her retirement. Betty moved to Mechanicsburg in 1993, to be close to her family who she loved and adored. She was an energetic and vivacious woman who touched many lives.

Betty’s survivors include her loving daughter, Ann Wright of Mechanicsburg; a granddaughter Jodi Obrock and her husband John of Enola; and their children, Garrett, Mark, and Annette Obrock. Among those preceding Betty in death are a grandson, Mark Wright and a brother; Frank J. Browning.

Graveside Services will be at the convenience of the family at Forest Lawn Cemetery , Richmond, VA.
