A Beloved Aunt -

Bonne Lee Haratine, age 70, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Camp Hill, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.  Bonnie was born on Sunday, October 22, 1950, in Erie to the late Richard Robert Haratine, Sr. and Helen Elizabeth (Burkhart) Haratine.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Richard Robert Haratine, Jr. and her beloved Persian cats, Rachel and Josephine.

Bonnie’s survivors include her three siblings: Elizabeth “Liz” Louise Stelzer and husband, Kurt, of Mechanicsburg, Christine “Chris” Michelle Lee and husband, Michael, of Norfolk, United Kingdom, Timothy “Tim” James Haratine and wife, Margaret, of Atlanta, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie graduated from Camp Hill High School as part of the class of 1968.  She worked as a clerk for Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill, with 17 years of service.  Bonnie attended the Immanuel Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Mechanicsburg and was a member of the Aurora Club in Mechanicsburg.  She was a gifted, self-taught photographer who loved to capture special moments in time with her camera.  Bonnie also shared those photographic moments with her family and friends.  Bonnie held a fascination with the Kennedy family and loved collecting books and other memorabilia about the Kennedy family.  She even devoted a room in her home to her collection.  Bonnie was a beloved aunt; she had a knack for giving the best gifts to her nieces and nephews. Her family and friends will miss her greatly.

All are welcome to join Bonnie’s family at her viewing on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Steve Wiggins officiating.  Bonnie’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Buhrig’s Gathering Place (next to the funeral home) immediately following the service.  Burial will follow the Reception in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
