Bonnie “Sissy” Lou (Meyer) Fisher, age 67, of Carlisle , died at home in her husband Amos’ arms and surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 12, 2015.  Sissy was born on Monday, April 12, 1948, in Harrisburg to the late Joseph John Meyer, Sr. and Jean Virginia (Rader) Meyer.  In addition to her parents, Sissy is preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph John Meyer, Jr. and John Joseph Meyer.

Sissy’s survivors include her loving husband of 33 years, Robert “Moe” Amos Fisher; her daughter, Vanessa Kimberly Dattoli of Carlisle; her granddaughter, Makayla Angeline Hemperly; her four siblings: Barbara Jean Hammaker and her husband, Lester, of Harrisburg, Betty Jane Britton and her husband, Wesley, of Harrisburg, Dennis Eugene Meyer and his wife, Tammy, of Mechanicsburg, Jerry Eugene Meyer and his wife, Kathy; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Sissy graduated from Cumberland Valley High School as part of the class of 1966.  She was a member of Young’s United Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg since 2012.  Sissy loved the beach, especially Clearwater.  Some of her favorite pastimes included listening to country music, bowling, watching movies, attending Sight & Sound Theatre productions with her church friends, and shopping for anything and everything.  Sissy was known as the Christmas decorator of all time.  She was like a second grandmother to her nieces and nephews, and she enjoyed time spent with them.  Above all, God, church, and family were very important to Sissy, who was the rock for her family and the one who held them together.

All are welcome to join Sissy’s family at her gathering of family and friends on Friday, July 17, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m. at Young’s United Methodist Church , 7075 Wertzville Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050; with Pastor Robert V. “Bob” Bishard, Jr. officiating.  Cremation was private.
