Loving Daughter, Niece, & Friend -

Brooke Lynn Sariano, age 50, of Enola, and formerly of Mechanicsburg, passed away surrounded by her family at UPMC Pinnacle West Shore Hospital on Friday, January 17, 2020.  Brooke was born on Sunday, January 11, 1970 in Harrisburg to Deborah Ann Cornter and Michael Patrick Sariano.  She is preceded in death by her loving PopPop, Frederick Scales Cornter; and her uncle, Alvin Frederick Cornter.

In addition to her mother, Brooke’s survivors include her grandmother, Helen (Rush) Cornter of Mechanicsburg; her five aunts: Katharine Cornter Wentz of Dillsburg, Christa Cornter Aufiero of New Cumberland, Robin Cornter Kendlehart of Gettysburg, Heidi Cornter Miller of Mechanicsburg, Kim Cornter of Gardners; and her eight cousins: Jessica Koone, Allison Kendlehart Elias-Lizardo, Erin Kendlehart Adams, Matthew Miller, Sebastian Lesny, Sierra Lesny, Gavin Elias-Lizardo, Harrison Elias-Lizardo.

Brooke graduated from Capital Area Intermediate Unit in June of 1991 and then attended the adult day alternatives program of the United Cerebral Palsy of Central Pennsylvania (UCP).

All are welcome to join Brooke’s family at her gathering of family and friends on Thursday, January 23, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Robert K. Bronkema officiating.  Brooke’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Buhrig’s Gathering Place (next to the funeral home) immediately following the service.  Interment in Newport Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.  Cremation was private.

The family would like to extend their most sincere appreciation and gratitude to UCP and all of Brooke’s friends that helped throughout her entire life.
