Bruce Geoffrey Toole, age 67, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019.  Bruce was born on Thursday, December 20, 1951 in Drexel Hill, PA to the late Wallace Hugh Toole and Augusta (Ulmann) Toole.

Bruce’s survivors include four siblings: Brian Toole and his wife, Rita, of Westfield, MA, Michael “Mike” Toole and his wife, Tina, of Warren, PA, Nancy West and her husband, Larry, of Trainer, PA, Randall “Randy” Toole and his wife, Lisa, of South Berwick, ME; his valued friend, Christine “Chris” Winaught Howell of Hummelstown, PA; seven nieces and nephews; and his great-niece and great-nephew.

Bruce graduated from The American High School in Mexico City, Class of 1969.  He worked for EDS in Mechanicsburg as an IT specialist.  Bruce had a philanthropic heart.  He often helped others, remaining generous with his time.  Bruce was an avid comic book collector and loved animals, especially cats.  He enjoyed bowling and once taught his brother, Randy, how to bowl.  Bruce enjoyed watching a variety of sports.  He was a person who thought of others, and often deferred to participating in the activities of others’ choosing. His most treasured times were enjoying his nieces and nephews. He was thrilled to become a great uncle to his great-niece and great-nephew.

All are welcome to join Bruce’s family as they gather on Saturday, April 13, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant George A. Spangler officiating.  Cremation was private.
