Carl Patrick Connellan, a cherished member of his community and a devoted family man, passed away on October 18, 2024 in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. He was born on March 30, 1932, in Dublin, Ireland, and lived a life rich with varied experiences, passions, and unwavering commitment to those he loved.
Carl's professional journey was diverse and distinguished, including significant tenure at Aer Lingus, where he was known for his dedication and exceptional work ethic. He also contributed to the Book of the Month Club and served as a law clerk in Cumberland County, showcasing his versatile skills and intellect.
Beyond his career, Carl was an individual of great talents and interests. His love for the arts was evident through his performances as a drummer and ballroom dancer, where he shared joy and creativity with others. Additionally, he was passionate about magic and enjoyed golfing and flying, pursuits that brought him immense happiness throughout his life.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joanne Connellan, with whom he shared 59 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised two children: Siobhan Connellan and Brian Connellan, as well as their daughter-in-law, Michele Connellan. Carl also found profound joy in being a grandfather to Liam and Madelynn Connellan, who were a source of pride and happiness in his later years.
Carl was part of a larger family, including his brother Kevin and sister-in-law Mary Ellen Connellan, as well as his sister Maura Van Dyke. He also cherished his nephews, Niall (Liz) Connellan and Niall Van Dyke, whose lives he positively influenced.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew "Addie" Connellan and Mai (Shine) Connellan, and his brother, Declan Connellan.
Carl Patrick Connellan will be remembered for his kindness, gentle spirit, and the love he had for his family. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Smith celebrating.
