Carl “Mike” Eugene Billow, Sr.
Hard Worker and Loving Father -
Carl “Mike” Eugene Billow, Sr., age 70, of Carlisle , and formerly of New Cumberland , died on Sunday, February 15, 2015. Mike was born on Thursday, February 15, 1945 in Harrisburg to the late Ruth (Lehman) Billow. In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his brother, Lee “Butch” Billow.
Mike’s survivors include his children: Kevin Eugene Billow and his girlfriend, Samantha Crown, of Carlisle, Samantha Anne Billow-Sprowal and her husband, Richard, of Carlisle, Krystal Kitner of New Cumberland, Carl Eugene Billow, Jr. and his wife, Nilca, of Tennessee, Robert Fitzgerald Billow of Carlisle; and his five grandchildren.
He retired from Waste Management in Camp Hill, after more than 40 years of service working as a truck driver. Prior to his work there, Mike was a truck driver for Diller’s . Mike took great pride in his work; and he worked very hard, even if that meant being on the job six days a week. He enjoyed watching football, westerns, wrestling, and all types of racing, including NASCAR. He knew how to have a good time and liked to be at home. Mike loved his five children very deeply.
All are welcome to join Mike’s family at his gathering of friends and family on Thursday, February 26, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant George Spangler officiating. Mike’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Mike’s home immediately following the services. Cremation was private.
