Carmela “Millie” Pauline (Foti) Fracica, age 88, of Mechanicsburg, passed away at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, February 15, 2016. Millie was born on Saturday , March 26, 1927 in Brooklyn to the late Joseph Foti and Josephine (Lupo) Foti. In addition to her parents, Millie is preceded in death by one sister and her granddaughter, Jessica.
Millie’s survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Salvatore “Sam” Carado Fracica; her two children: Andrew “Andy” Fracica and his wife, Kelly, of Fort Wayne, IN, Concetta “Cetta” Howe and her husband, Joseph, of Mechanicsburg; her six grandchildren: Christina, James, Kasey, Kathryn, Megan, Jarod; her one great-grandson, Austin; her two siblings: Anthony Foti and his wife, Terry, of Hauppauge, NY, Lillian Oddo of Smithtown, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
Millie’s family was very important to her and she made her living at home caring for them. She used to attend St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg. Millie loved to quilt, sew, knit, and crochet, and she was happy to donate her knitting and sewing skills for charity.
Millie’s family will be remembering her life privately. Cremation was private.
