Carol Ann (Fertenbaugh) Convery, 59 of Mechanicsburg died at home on Friday, April 13, 2012. She was born in Mechanicsburg on Thursday, June 19, 1952, daughter of the late John Fertenbaugh and Velma (Ritter) Fertenbaugh. Carol was the wife of Keith M. Convery to whom she was married for 23 years.
Carol was a well known face at the U-Scan at the Giant Foods, Cumberland Parkway Store for many years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church , New Kingstown. “Mamaw” took great joy in spoiling and helping to raise her two grandsons, Dylan & Ashton. She loved to have a good time and enjoyed riding on the back of Keith’s Harley Davidson. Carol could be described as spunky and full of life.
Carol’s survivors include her loving husband: Keith M. Convery; a son: Brian L. Fertenbaugh and his wife Jennifer and their sons Dylan and Ashton all of Mechanicsburg; two sisters: Darla Harlacher and her husband James of South Carolina, Jane Faircloth and her husband Bruce of Gardners; a mother-in-law: Marie Convery of Hummelstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to join Carol’s family at a Gathering of Family and Friends on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, from 2:00 until time of service at 3:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA, 17055, with her brother-in-law, James Harlacher, officiating. Carol’s cremation was private. All are invited to join the family at the Roadhouse Pavillion at Appalachian Harley-Davidson , 6695 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg for a time of food and fellowship following the service.
