Carol Louise (Stonemetz) Khalili

A Very Caring Person -

Carol Louise (Stonemetz) Khalili, age 72, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Virginia, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018.  Carol was born on Friday, January 18, 1946 in Olean, NY to the late Guy Francis Stonemetz and Margaret Bernice (Smith) Stonemetz.  In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her two brothers: Eugene “Gene” Stonemetz and Lee Stonemetz.

Carol’s survivors include her two children: Stephanie Alcazar and her husband, Roman, and their children: Raphael, Eliza, and Dominic, of Mechanicsburg, Steven “Steve” Khalili and his wife, Erin, and his children: Lauren and Davis, of Hilton Head, SC; her two brothers: James “Jim” Stonemetz and his wife, Maureen, of Hickory, NC, Gary Stonemetz and his wife, Jolene, of Mechanicsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Carol graduated from Oswayo Valley High School as part of the class of 1964.  She retired from the United States Postal Service in Dale City, VA, after 29 years of service as a postal worker.  Carol enjoyed flower gardening and cooking.  She was a true dog and cat lover.  Carol was a very caring person and would often take care of others before herself.  The most important thing to her was her family, especially her grandchildren.  Carol absolutely enjoyed spending time with them and watching them grow.

Carol’s family will be remembering her life privately.  Cremation was private.
