Carol Walsh

Carol J Walsh, 82, of Mechanicsburg, PA and Weston, FL, passed from this life on August 19, 2024. 

Carol’s survivors include her husband of 60 years, William John Walsh; her two children: Keirsten Davidson and husband, Clayton of Mechanicsburg, Shannon DosSantos and husband, Louis of Coconut Creek, FL; and her two grandchildren: Talon Davidson, Brady Davidson. 

Carol graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and the University of Pittsburgh with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She was licensed as a Medical Social Worker in Florida, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Carol’s career began at Magee Woman’s Hospital in Pittsburgh and progressed through South Charleston Community Hospital in West Virginia where she advanced to Director of Social Services. She was skilled in clinical aspects of social work and was regarded as an astute administrator. Carol and her husband moved to Florida in 1992. A member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers, she practiced in multiple clinical subspecialties in Jackson Memorial Hospital of the University of Miami and at Broward General Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale over the next 30 years. 

Carol’s family will be remembering her life privately. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville will be at the family’s convenience. Cremation was private.
