Carolyn “Carol” (Carl) Haigh, 66, of Harrisburg , died at Harrisburg Hospital on Sunday, November 10, 2013.  She was born in Reading, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, January 8, 1947, daughter of the late Walter Aaron Carl and Catherine (Riedel) Carl.  Carol was the wife of Robert P. Haigh whom she married on July 24, 1971, after having met him on a trip to Europe.

Carol’s survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, Robert “Bob” P. Haigh; her numerous cousins including, Elaine Carl Frost of Virginia; and her many friends, especially, Craig and Kristen Dieck and their two sons, Adam and Conner.

Carol graduated from Muhlenberg Township High School as part of the class of 1964 and from Ursinus College in 1968 with a degree in English.  She was a Broadcast Executive with WHP Stations for many years.  Carol was bright, curious and engaging and she will be deeply missed.

All are welcome to join Carol’s family at her Celebration of Life Reception on Saturday, November 16, 2013, from 12:00 to 3:00 at Dodge City Steakhouse , 1037 Paxton Street, Harrisburg, PA 17104.  Cremation was private and scattering will be at the convenience of the family.
