Cass’s survivors include her four children: Joseph “Joe” Cardella, Jr. and his wife, Nancy, of Media, Kathleen “Kathy” Leonard and her husband, Steve, of Mechanicsburg, John “Jack” Cardella and his wife, Wanda, of Lebanon, Marguerite “Marge” Walsh and her husband, Bill, of Paulsboro, NJ; her seven grandchildren; her several great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Maria Shillingsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Cass had a knack for crocheting and won awards for her creations which included: quilts, afghans, dresses, dolls, and bears.  She was an excellent cook who was known for her soups and turkey dinners with all the fixin’s.  It seemed that everything she made was a specialty.  Cass loved to play bingo and garden and she never drove a car or flew in a plane.  She was a master letter writer and enjoyed the art of hand writing a note.  She began painting at the age of 90 and won awards for her beautiful artwork.  Cass was devoted to her family and especially to her brother, Joe.  They shared a deep and meaningful sibling love that grew over the years and extended to Joe’s wife, Maria, who Cass thought of as her sister.
