Charles “Chuck” Eugene Warner, Jr.
A Man Who Found True Peace -
Charles “Chuck” Eugene Warner, Jr., age 58, of Mechanicsburg, went home in peace while being loved by his family on Saturday, September 17, 2016, after a long battle with various health issues. Chuck was born on Saturday, October 12, 1957 in Mechanicsburg. He was preceded in death by his beloved and amazing black Labrador/border collie companion of 13 years, Toby, who joyfully met Chuck on the far side of the rainbow bridge.
Chuck’s survivors include his loving and faithful wife of 19 years, Christine “Chris” Lynn (Fake) Warner; his two children: Nicole Tennis, Jared Warner; his mother, Joann Marie (Gingrich) Warner; his two grandchildren: Alexander “Alex” Tennis, Addyson “Addy” Tennis; his two siblings: William “Bill” Warner, Annette See and her husband, Timothy; and a large and loving family which includes many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Chuck graduated from Red Land High School as part of the class of 1976 and from Gettysburg College in 1981. He was a member of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg. Chuck worked as a contractor, focusing on concrete, masonry, carpentry, and remodeling. He shared his talents with various contracting companies over the years and owned and operated C. Warner Contracting for 17 years. After retiring from the contracting business, he became a CDL Driver for FedEx. Always enjoying working with his hands, Chuck found joy in working around the house and in his yard and especially in his vegetable garden where he proudly toiled. He loved the beach, body boarding, go carts, and both playing and watching football and wrestling. Sitting on the front porch and watching thunderstorms and sunsets as well as early morning walks on the beach to watch the sunrise were special treats. He deeply loved his family and was protective of them. He always enjoyed watching his son and grandchildren participate in their various sporting events and he loved watching Seinfeld and family movie nights at home. Chuck was a man who found true peace in life and true love in his family. He will be missed.
