Charlotte Romaine (Thomas) Small, 94, of Duncannon , and formerly of Mechanicsburg , died at Kinkora Pythian Home on Friday, November 30, 2012. She was born in Mechanicsburg, on Thursday, October 24, 1918, daughter of the late James H. Thomas and Rosetta (Welker) Thomas. Charlotte was the wife of Newton H. Small who predeceased her.
Charlotte loved scrapbooking and gospel music. She enjoyed country living and spent many hours working crossword puzzles. Eating was something Charlotte always enjoyed especially with family and friends. She spent many hours talking about her family and she cherished the time she spent with her granddaughter, Kayla.
Charlotte’s survivors include her granddaughter, Kayla Flickinger of Loysville; her son-in-law, Perry Flickinger of Loysville; her friends, Susan “Sue” Stewart of Ickesburg, and Elizabeth "Liz" Long of Camp Hill. Among those preceding Charlotte in death are two daughters, Ruth Marie Flickinger, Rose Marie Small; and her grandson, Brandon David Flickinger.
All are welcome to join Charlotte’s family at her viewing on Thursday, December 6, 2012, from 10:00 until time of service at 10:30 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. Burial will be private and at the family’s convenience in Trindle Spring Cemetery .
