C heri Eileen (Kreitzer) Keiter, 43, of Newville died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center.  She was born on Monday, October 30, 1967 in Mechanicsburg the daughter of the late Edgar Booher and Anna Keefer Kreitzer.  Cheri was the wife of Kenneth Lee Keiter, Jr., who she married on September 8, 2000.

Cheri graduated from Big Spring High School as part of the class of 1985.  She was a homemaker who greatly enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter.  Cheri loved to cook and was a long-time fan of the Philadelphia Eagles.  Her family fondly remembers that everyone who met her liked her immediately.  She will be greatly missed.

Cheri’s survivors include her loving husband of 11 years: Kenneth Lee Keiter, Jr.; one son: Jason B. Robinson of Carlisle; two daughters: Tiawynne R. Hinton, Kayla H. Hinton both of Newville; one granddaughter: Nyla Hinton; step-mother: Shirley Bryner of Shermans Dale; foster parent: Edna Barrick; eight brothers: Dave Kreizter, Stephen Kreitzer, Richard Barrick, Oscar Barrick, William Booher, Kirby Booher, Joseph Fisher, Jr., Keith Fisher; two sisters: Debra Piper and Anita Neidigh; and several nieces and nephews.  Cheri is preceded in death by her foster parent: Oscar Barrick.

All are welcome to join Cheri’s family at her viewing on Thursday, October 6, 2011, from 5:30 to 7:00 until time of service at 7:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA, 17055, (717) 766-3421, www.Myers-Buhrig.com with Pastor Robert Myers officiating.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
