Cheryl Ann (Dellinger) Tozlosky

Cheryl Ann (Dellinger) Tozlosky, age 70, of Mechanicsburg, died at home on Monday, August 12, 2024. Cheryl was born on Saturday, March 20, 1954, in Mechanicsburg to the late Leo Foley Dellinger and Dorothy Mae (Parks) Dellinger. Cheryl was the widow of Joseph “Joe” Albert Tozlosky, Jr., whom she married on March 4, 1973, and who died on September 16, 2019. In addition to her parents and husband, Cheryl is preceded in death by her daughter, Christal Butler.

Cheryl’s survivors include: her granddaughter Aaliyah Butler of Camp Hill; her siblings: Diane Bredbenner and her husband Daniel of Ringtown, Robert Dellinger and his wife Sue of Lewisberry, Steven Dellinger of Mechanicsburg, Derrick Dellinger of Carlisle; her stepmother Betty Dellinger of Carlisle; her mother in law Eleanor Tozlosky of Enola; her sister in law, Janice Bender of Blue Bonnet, Texas; her brother in law David Tozlosky and wife Colette of Redington Beach, Florida; sister in law Lynn Thomas and husband George of Sacramento, PA; and her many cherished nieces and nephews.

Cheryl graduated from Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School. She retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield in Mechanicsburg, after many years of service working as a supervisor. Cheryl enjoyed visiting Hollywood Casino and spending time with her family, especially her daughter and granddaughter. She had a kind and soft heart and always cared for others. She was deeply devoted to her beloved husband, Joe, and worked hard around the house they shared together. Cheryl was known for her loving and easy-going nature, always wanting to keep the peace, her fudge at Christmas, and her pigs in a blanket. Cheryl will be dearly missed by all those fortunate to have been in her life.

All are welcome to join Cheryl’s family at her viewing on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral & Cremation, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant Patti Vogl officiating. Cheryl’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Buhrig’s Gathering Place (next to the funeral home) immediately following the service. Burial will follow the reception in St. John’s Cemetery in Mechanicsburg.
