A Loving Mother & Grandmother -
Clara Lorena (Nauss) Henneman, age 84, formerly of Presbyterian Apartments in Harrisburg, died at Sincerely Yours in York on Thursday, September 11, 2014. Clara was born on Thursday, July 17, 1930 in Mechanicsburg to the late Robert “Ralph” Nauss and Margaret (Bucher) Nauss. Clara was the widow of Gilbert Mark Henneman whom she married on July 3, 1948 and who died on April 22, 1975. In addition to her parents and husband, Clara is preceded in death by her sister Alva Gamber.
Clara’s survivors include her children: Dennis M. Henneman of Harrisburg, Larry L. Henneman and his wife, Sharon, of Dover, Ronald D. Henneman of Carlisle; her grandchildren: Paula Burns of York, Daneen Henneman of Oberlin, Dianna Henneman of Steelton; her great-grandchildren: Aunya Simms, Lonnae Rawls, Christyan Carter, Victoria Burns, Trista Burns; her great-great granddaughters; Mayanna Burton, Abrielle Horne; her brother, Ralph Nauss, and his wife, Dorothy, of Mechanicsburg; and six nephews.
Clara was a bus driver for Capital Area Intermediate Unit, for over 17 years. She also worked for many years in the concession stand at Haar’s Drive-In, Dillsburg . Clara loved playing the piano and organ, working crossword puzzles, and driving fast. Clara was a loving mother who adored taking care of her family.
All are welcome to join Clara’s family at her viewing on Monday, September 15, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Celebrant George A. Spangler officiating. Burial will follow in Slate Hill Cemetery in Mechanicsburg.
