Cleora Arlene (Emery) Whittle, age 89, of California , and formerly of Mechanicsburg , died at her residence with her loving husband by her side on Monday, November 3, 2014. Cleora was born on Wednesday, June 3, 1925 in Mechanicsburg to the late Reginald Emery and Myrtle (Smith) Emery. Cleora was the wife of Roger, whom she married on September 17, 1975.
Cleora’s survivors include her husband of 39 years, Roger.
Cleora graduated from Mechanicsburg High School as part of the class of 1943. She retired from L & M Auto Supply in California, working as an office manager. Cleora was formerly employed at Washington National Insurance Company and JC Penney . She was a longtime member of Bowmansdale Church of God .
All are welcome to join Cleora’s family at her gathering of family and friends on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:30 p.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Pastor George Spangler officiating. Burial will follow in Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Mechanicsburg.
