Craig Allen Debinski

Craig Allen Debinski, age 71, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Palmyra, died on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Craig was born on Thursday, June 18, 1953, in Baltimore, MD to the late Warren Allen Debinski and Norma Louise (Smith) Debinski. In addition to his parents, Craig is preceded in death by his sister, Merle Debinski.

Craig’s survivors include his wife of 47 years, Pamela “Pam” Sue (Peck) Debinski; Shirley L. Peck, Mother in Law, The Late Ronald L. Peck, Father in Law (deceased), his two sons: David Allan Debinski and his wife Mary Jane of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Jesse Allen Debinski and his wife Jennifer of Enola, PA; his three grandchildren: Haley Debinski, 16 years old, Izaias Debinski, 12 years old and Chariah Debinski, 9 years old. His sister Karen Wolf of Baltimore, MD; and his beloved Red Toy Poodle: Luki who is 15 years old.

Craig was known as Pop Pop to his Grandkids. He lived his life in the most unselfish way and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was a servant to the people and loved everyone, especially his family and grandchildren. He was a great husband and father. He was the kindest, most loving, funny, smartest, caring, most willing to help, wise, passionate, outgoing, a leader, adventurous and most of all had never ending wisdom. 

Craig graduated from Mergenthaler Vo-Tech High School as part of the class of 1971. After that he went to Washington  Bible College where he studied theology and psychology. After completing his B.A. he joined a church planting ministry and served there for a few years. After that, he served as a pastor at several churches throughout the United States while completing his education. He went on to get his Masters at Biblical Theological Seminary and than went to Pensacola Christian College in 2004 to get his doctorate degree in Theology. He is an accomplished author of 2 books; Excellent Marriage (2001) and an updated version of Excellent Marriage (2018). He retired from Pennsylvania Counseling Services after 12 years of service working as a psychotherapist. After his retirement, he continued working as a psychotherapist counselor at Franklin Family Services from 2019 to current. Craig was a member of Enola First Church of God in Enola, where he served as a Sunday school teacher, Lay counselor, Elder and Board Member and filled in as a minister. He also served as an adjunct professor of theology at Nyack College in New York. 

Craig loved to study the Bible and serve others. In addition to being a humble servant, Craig was a world traveler. He went on a dozen cruises and has traveled as far as Egypt, China, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Jordon Panama Canal, Alaska, Mexico and Bermuda, St. Lucia and the Virgin Islands and other countries. Craig remarkably served three times as tour guide in Jerusalem, Israel. In his free time Craig enjoyed collecting money and stamps from countries around the world. He loved to sit and relax with his beloved red toy poodle, Luki in his lap. Craig lived a life of service to others and was loved by all. He will be dearly missed by all those fortunate to have been in his life. 

All are welcome to join Craig’s family at his gathering of family and friends on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a celebration of life beginning at 1:15 p.m. at Enola First Church of God, 9 Sherwood Drive, Enola, PA 17025; with Pastor George Jensen officiating. Craig’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at the church immediately following the service. Private interment will take place at Elliottsburg Cemetery.
