Craig Corbin Stout
An Absolute Heart of Gold -
Craig Corbin Stout, age 34, of Dillsburg, and formerly of Athens, OH, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022. He was born on September 10, 1987, in Marietta, OH, to Jeffrey Lee Stout and Michele Lynn (Terrell) Forrider. Craig is preceded in death by his sister, Carmen; and grandfathers: Charles W. Terrell and James W. Stout.
Craig is survived by his loving wife, Grace Anne Kilcommons; his two sons: Travis and Tanner; his mother, Michele Forrider and her husband, Blake Forrider of Coolville, OH; his father, Jeffrey Stout of Coolville, OH; his grandmother, Kathryn Terrell (Donald Fischer); his uncle, John Terrell; his three brothers: Christopher (Cassy) Stout, Cody (Autumn) Stout, and Colin Stout; his step-siblings: Ashley (Richard) Timblin, Joshua (Megan) Forrider, Brandon (Ashley) Forrider; his in-laws, Kevin and Janet Kilcommons; his sister-in-law, Claire Kilcommons; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved furry companions: Bjorn, Victor, and Precious.
He was a 2005 graduate of Diamond Oaks Vocational School, Cincinnati, OH, where he was a member of the JROTC. At the age of 18, Craig enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He valued this service highly and attained the rank of Lance Corporal. As part of Craig's service, he was a Helicopter Airframe Mechanic, CH-46, completed one tour in Iraq, and received the Iraq Campaign Medal with 1 star, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.
He graduated in 2015 from the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (MMI), Orlando, FL, as a certified Harley Davidson Technician and in 2019 from the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology, fully certified in Combination Pipe/ Structural Welding. He was currently employed by BAE Systems as a QIVI (welding inspector).
Craig was a proud member of the AMVETS Chapter 76 of Athens, OH, as well as the Chapter 76 Riders. He considered his love of riding motorcycles to be much more than just a hobby; it was his way of life.
Craig had an absolute heart of gold, a passionate spirit, a brilliant mind, and because of all that, he had a way of leaving an unforgettable impression on everyone he met. The love that he had for his wife, family, friends, and any animal he encountered was a love that could be felt the moment he was near. To say that Craig will be missed is an extreme understatement, but a spirit as strong as his will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
