Daniel “Dan” Dennis Zaludek, age 83, of Mechanicsburg , died at Holy Spirit Hospital on Saturday, September 27, 2014. Dan was born on Friday, November 7, 1930, in Mocanagua, PA to the late John Zaludek and Kathryn (Wido) Zaludek. Dan was the husband of Charlotte Claire (Edwards) Zaludek, whom he married on February 11, 1955. In addition to his parents, Dan is preceded in death by his siblings, Pauline Scala and John Zaludek.
Dan’s survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Charlotte; his sister, Rita Gregory, and her husband, Edgar, of Denver, PA.
Dan was a retired Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Officer with over 27 years of service. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps and a veteran of the Korean War . Dan and his wife, Charlotte, were co-owners of Kensington Station , an antique store in Kensington, MD. Dan’s favorite recreational activity was hunting.
Cremation and services will be private and at the family’s convenience.
