Danny Lee Williamson, age 66, of Mechanicsburg , and a native of Parkhill, PA , died on Thursday, May 1, 2014. Danny was born on Sunday, March 14, 1948 in Johnstown, PA to the late Lawrence Preston Williamson and Helen Theresa (Prucnal) Williamson. Danny was the husband of Brenda Lee (Wilson) Williamson, with whom he shared his life for 32 years.
Danny’s survivors include his wife, Brenda; his sons: Elijah Williamson and his wife, Joni, and their son, Preston, all of Maryland; Nigel Delaney and his wife, Heather, and their children, Ryder and Yasmin, all of GA; his brothers: Larry Williamson and his fiancee, Clare Zales, of Silver Spring Township; Tim Williamson and his wife, Jackie, of Westmont; Gary Williamson and his wife, Jennifer, of Enola; Tom Williamson and his wife, Debbie, of Newport; Terry Hayostek and his wife, Kay, of Lancaster.
Danny graduated from East Conemaugh High School as part of the class of 1966. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Coral Sea, an aircraft carrier, during the Vietnam War. Danny loved to serve his country so much that he continued to volunteer in the PA National Guard . He enjoyed riding motorcycles, and his racing name was “Dangerous Dan”. Danny was a kind, friendly man with a good heart, who gave graciously to those in need. He loved to talk and tell stories, and everyone who knew Danny loved him.
Viewing and Time of Farewell Services were held privately on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055. To honor Danny’s commitment to health and education, his body has been donated to Pennsylvania Humanity Gifts Registry .
