Darl Edward Horn, age 95, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.  Darl was born on Monday, October 10, 1927, in Loudonville, OH to the late Herman Horn and Harriet (Lebkisher) Horn.  In addition to his parents, Darl is preceded in death by his son, Steven L. Horn; and his brother, Dale Horn.

Darl’s survivors include his wife of 66 years, Joyce (Liedhegner) Horn; his daughter, Sandra L. McIntyre of Mechanicsburg; his two sons: David “Dave” A. Horn and his wife, Michelle, of Kingwood, TX; Daniel “Dan” E. Horn and his wife, Kendra, of Youngsville, NC; his seven grandchildren; his six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to join Darl’s family at his gathering of family and friends on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Buhrig Funeral Home & Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Reverend Roger Keller officiating.  Darl’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Buhrig’s Gathering Place (next to the funeral home) immediately following the service.  Burial in Rolling Green Cemetery in Camp Hill will be private.

The family sends their most heartfelt thanks to the aides and nurses at Homeland at Home Hospice who so lovingly cared for Darl during his illness.
