David A. Emil, age 73, of Mechanicsburg, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 5, 2020.  David was born on Sunday, May 25, 1947, in Fountain Springs, PA to the late Emilio Emil and Eleanor (Bower) Emil.

David’s survivors include his loving wife, Deanna Marie (Marchetti) Emil of Kulmont, PA, who he married on December 11, 1965.  The couple raised two daughters: Denise Waulters of Raleigh, North Carolina and Jennifer Sears of Charlotte, North Carolina.  David is also survived by one grandson, Nicholas Antonelli and his significant other, Charlay, of Enola, PA; two great-grandchildren: Nicky and Ciani; one sister, Melissa Menapace and her husband, Michael, of Mt. Carmel, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

David graduated from Mt. Carmel High School as a part of the class of 1965 and from Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) with an associate’s degree.  He proudly served in the United States Air Force and retired from the Navy Supply Depot in Mechanicsburg, after 25 years of service working as an electrician.  David was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and American Legion Post #109, both in Mechanicsburg.  In his free time, David enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, fishing, golfing, and riding his Harley-Davidson.

David will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.  Cremation was private.
