A Hard Working Man -

David “Dave” Lee Stoner, age 65, of Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021. Dave was born on Monday, December 3, 1956, in Harrisburg to Rose Marie (Derick) Stoner and the late David Lee Stoner Sr.

Dave’s survivors include his wife, Diana Mae (Smith) Stoner; his three daughters: Jennifer “Jen” Joanne Vioral and husband, Greg, of Shippensburg; Amy Lynn Erdman and husband, Dustin, of Newburg; and Deanna Lee Stoner and significant other, Paul David Patrick, of Shippensburg; his two step children: Nicholas Yeager of St. Thomas, and Kortni Wagner and husband, Joshua, of Mechanicsburg; his four grandchildren: Landon, Paige, Hayden, and Palmer; his mother, Rose Marie (Derick) Stoner; his three siblings: Bart Stoner and wife, Kelley, of Indiana; Michael Stoner and wife, Stacy, of Carlisle; and Ava May and husband, Jeffrey, of Mechanicsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Dave graduated from Mechanicsburg High School as part of the class of 1975. He retired from New Stone Restoration in Mechanicsburg, a company that he owned and operated for many years.  Dave was a long-time member of Carlisle Evangelical Free Church in Carlisle. He dedicated much of his time to making his construction business, successful.  His grandson, Landon, often went along with Dave to help on many of his jobsites.  When he wasn’t working, Dave enjoyed going on road trips with Diana. They often found themselves at Cruiser’s Café in Mt. Pleasant Mills.  He also enjoyed the camping trips, with his daughters and spending time mowing grass.  Dave’s daughters meant the world to him.  Over the years he shared many special moments with them.  He loved to go to Rakestraw’s for mint chocolate chip ice cream with Jennifer, or watching Deanna play basketball in the driveway; and going to the candy store with Amy, and then going to feed the ducks.  Dave’s many friends and family will miss him greatly.

All are welcome to join Dave’s family at viewing on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service beginning at 3:30 p.m. all at Carlisle Evangelical Free Church, 290 Petersburg Road, Carlisle, PA 17013; with Pastor Keith R.
