Dawn Elaine (Rowe) McMillin, age 84, of Mechanicsburg, passed away peacefully to live with the Lord on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, after a long illness. Dawn was born on Saturday, July 9, 1932 in Johnson City, NY to the late William Rowe and Mildred Adelia (Fredendall) Rowe. Dawn was the widow of Bruce McMillin, whom she married in 1951, and who died on February 2, 2011. In addition to her parents and husband, Dawn is preceded in death by her son, Steven McMillin.
Dawn’s survivors include her daughter, Diane McMillin of Mechanicsburg; her two sons: Kenneth McMillin and his wife, LuAnn, of Mechanicsburg, T. Richard McMillin of Newville; and her two grandchildren: Neil McMillin and his wife, Amanda, and Pamela McMillin.
Dawn was a member of Grace Community Church in Mechanicsburg. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. The disease that ravaged her body never affected her sweet smile and gentle temperament. Dawn will be missed dearly by all those whose lives she touched.
Dawn’s family will be remembering her life privately. Burial in Mechanicsburg Cemetery will be at the family’s convenience.
