Debra “Debbie” Jean (Westhafer) McCorkel

Debra “Debbie” Jean (Westhafer) McCorkel, age 67, of Dillsburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.  Debbie was born on Monday, November 21, 1955, in Mechanicsburg to Joyce (Vogelsong) Westhafer and the late Elwood Westhafer.

Debbie’s survivors include her mother: Joyce (Vogelsong) Westhafer; her 2 children: Michael Dean McCorkel and his wife, Jennifer, of Mechanicsburg; Julie K. McCorkel and her partner, Ben Stevens, of Denver, CO; her 2 grandchildren: Luke and Lindsay; her 5 siblings: Rodney Westhafer; Steven Westhafer; Lois Arnold; Darlene Westhafer; Kathy Westhafer; her former spouse: Joseph McCorkel of Carlisle; her beloved grandpup: Pete.

Debbie attended Cumberland Valley High School as part of the class of 1973.  She was the owner and operator of a cleaning business.  Debbie was a devout Christian who deeply loved Jesus.  She liked to garden, travel, and play board games with her family. Debbie lived for her children and grandchildren and loved being a part of their lives.

All are welcome to join Debbie’s family on Monday, July 31, 2023 at her gathering of family and friends at 10:00 a.m. and her graveside service with interment beginning at 10:30 a.m. all at Mechanicsburg Cemetery in Mechanicsburg, with Chaplain Alan Echard officiating.

In lieu of flowers, we would like donations to be made to Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence, 1701 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
