A True Duct Tape Artist -
Dennis Anthony Webster, 65, of Mechanicsburg , died at Holy Spirit Hospital on Monday, January 13, 2014. He was born in Waynesboro, on Monday, May 3, 1948, son of the late Ralph Jay Webster Jr., and Anne Marie (Jalsevac) Webster.
Dennis’s survivors include his loving siblings, Marion Horstmann and her husband Frank of Mechanicsburg, Jackie Webster, and David Webster. Among those preceding Dennis in death is a brother, Ralph Webster.
Dennis loved to tinker with small electronics. He was a very creative man who would take telephones and anything he could find apart and rebuild them into something new and improved. Dennis would also get old clothing and cut the fabric to make wallets. He was especially fond of colorful duct tape. Dennis would craft vests and other items out of his rolls of duct tape. Marion remembers how excited Dennis would be at the colored rolls of duct tape that she would buy for him at Christmas. He also enjoyed flea markets, yard sales, CPARC sponsored events, and eating out.
All are welcome to join Dennis’s family at his visitation on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Celebrant Mary Medkeff-Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Strang Cemetery in Guilford Township, Franklin County.
The family suggests memorial contributions to CPARC, Residential Services , 71 Ashland Avenue, Carlisle, PA 17013. The family sends their most heartfelt thanks to everyone at CPARC who so lovingly cared for Dennis.
