Diana Jane Hulbert
A Caring and Loving Person with a Big Heart -
Diana Jane Hulbert, age 68, of Harrisburg, and formerly of Newport, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 8, 2016. Diana was born on Wednesday, October 6, 1948 in Harrisburg to the late Harley Hugh Hulbert and Mildred (Boyer) Hulbert.
Diana’s survivors include her children: Keith Marshall and his wife, Becky, and their son, Braxston, of Lewisberry, Heather Ordaz and her husband, Eric Sr., and their son, Eric Jr., of Harrisburg; her former spouse and friend, Craig Marshall of New Cumberland, her siblings: Linda Reisinger, Nicholas Hulbert, Marilyn Reisinger; and several nieces and nephews.
Diana graduated from Newport High School as part of the class of 1966. She was known as the “Scrubbie Lady” by everyone that knew her for the scrubbies that she made and sold for washing dishes. Diana was a very independent and capable woman. She even knew how to lay down flooring; there was nothing that she could not figure out. Diana was always keeping herself busy, whether it was shopping or going to the salt room in Camp Hill. She loved doing things outdoors like camping or sail boating; Diana could actually dock a boat and she was good at it. She also loved the beach, especially if it meant she could go and just sit and read a book. Ocean City, MD was Diana’s favorite place because she could eat pizza at Grotto’s on the beach or pick up some of her favorite gummy fruit slices. Most importantly, Diana loved her grandsons and considered them to be her special boys. She was a caring and loving person with a really big heart; she will be missed by many.
