Diane Theresa Eberly, 75, of Mechanicsburg and formerly of Norristown died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 after a month in the hospital which followed the death of her daughter.
Diane was passionate about her cats and loved the time she spent with them. She enjoyed vacations and she loved sharing the experiences and memories with her husband and family. She was deeply devoted to and loved her family.
Diane was a voracious reader who could finish several books in a single day. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, picnics, flowers and the shore and ocean. She was a great bargain shopper who bubbled with joy as she visited yard sale after yard sale and thrift store after thrift store. She was a vivid and complex story teller who mesmerized her audience with every word.
Diane was born on Monday June 17, 1935 in Norristown the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Cataganus Caruso. She married the love of her life, Lee Robert Eberly, on June 2, 1980 with whom she had a wonderful love affair.
Diane is survived by her loving husband of 31 years: Lee Robert Eberly; two daughters: Daphne L. Williams of York Haven, Robyn L. Cericola of Baltimore MD; three grandsons: Erik Lawyer, Ryan Lawyer, Jason Clayborne; one brother: Nicholas “Butch” S. Caruso of Pottstown; one sister: Mary Ann M. Rosica of Norristown; and several nieces and nephews. Diane was preceded in death by her sister: Lydia Lee; her daughter: Theresa L. Schmidt-Clayborne; and her son: Kevin A. Eberly.
