Donald “Donny” Paul Knox
John Deere Tractors & Lionel Trains -
Donald “Donny” Paul Knox, age 66, of Lewisberry, died on Thursday, December 1, 2016. Donald was born on Monday, August 28, 1950 in Harrisburg to the late Paul Wilbur Knox and Zoe Edith (Burkhart) Knox. In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Knox.
Donny’s survivors include his wife, Marilyn Kay (Justh) Knox; his two children: Jeremy Knox and his wife, Kristen, of Lewisberry, Rebecca Marshall and her husband, Keith, of Lewisberry; his three grandchildren: Tessa Knox, Wyatt Knox, Braxston, Marshall; his two siblings: William Knox and his wife, Denise, Barbara Sollenberger and her husband, Ray; and several nieces and nephews.
Donny graduated Red Land High School as part of the class of 1969. He worked at the Steelton Highspire Railroad for over 18 years and at the Patriot News as a District Manager for over 21 years. Donny loved his John Deere Tractors beyond measure as they were his greatest joys in life. Close behind were his Lionel Trains which he took great joy in collecting and setting up. He could fix almost anything mechanical and always happily fixed his family’s vehicles. Donny’s heart overflowed with love for his grandchildren. His son, Jeremy, fondly remembers collecting guns and target shooting with his father. Becky, Donny’s daughter, holds the memory of watching the Dallas Cowboys with him and listening to his stories of playing football in his youth. These are some of the memories Donny’s family holds dear; memories of the man they loved.
Donny’s family will be remembering his life privately. Interment will be at the family’s convenience in Rolling Green Cemetery in Camp Hill.
