Donna Maxine (Sultzaberger) Chubb
Loved Her Lord -
Donna Maxine (Sultzaberger) Chubb, age 84, of Camp Hill, and formerly of Mechanicsburg, went home to be with her Lord while at Holy Spirit Hospital on Thursday, October 20, 2016. Donna was born on Friday, July 8, 1932 in Mechanicsburg to the late William Herbert Sultzaberger and Margaret Mae (Dry) Sultzaberger. In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her brother, Fred Sultzaberger.
Donna’s survivors include her husband of almost 65 years, Richard N. Chubb; her three sons: Richard N. Chubb, Jr. and his wife, Paula, of Mechanicsburg, William H. Chubb and his wife, Maryann, of Cliffton Heights, Timothy A. Chubb of Dillsburg; her five grandchildren: Jeremy, Julie, Kathaleen, Colleen, Sean; and her eight great grandchildren.
Donna graduated from Susquehanna Township High School as part of the class of 1950. She attended Christian Life Assembly Church in Camp Hill. For over ten years Donna served as a secretary at Messiah Village and for over 15 years she served as a secretary at the PennDel Conference of the Assemblies of God. Donna had a beautiful voice and loved to sing at various churches and in choirs. She was a ravenous reader, a good homemaker and a skilled flower gardener who always enjoyed hummingbirds. Creating ceramics and knitting were a few of her hobbies and watching Lawrence Welk every Saturday was a delight. Mostly, Donna was a compassionate and loving woman who deeply loved the Lord. She will be very much missed.
All are welcome to join Donna’s family at her viewing on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; with Pastor Lee E. Hyman and Reverend Dr. Timothy R. Baer officiating. Donna’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Stage & Studio Café (next to Myers – Buhrig) immediately following the funeral service. Burial will follow the reception in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville. Honored to be pallbearers are: Harold Chubb, Jeremy Chubb, Richard Chubb, Jr., Tim Chubb, William Chubb, Mike Walizer, and Drew Walizer.
