A Fantastic Wife -
Doris Ann (Sheaffer) Randall, age 75, of Camp Hill , died at Hershey Medical Center on Thursday, September 18, 2014. Doris was born on Sunday, February 26, 1939 in Paradise to the late Theodore Sheaffer and Ida (Hersh) Sheaffer. In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her brothers, Carl Sheaffer and Warren Sheaffer.
Doris’s survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, William “Bill” Joseph Randall; her sister, Pauline M. Stoltzfus of Lancaster, and several nieces and nephews.
Doris retired from Weis Markets. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg. Doris was a prayer warrior; continually praying and taking care of the elderly and children in her neighborhood. She was affectionately considered the “Neighborhood Mom”. Doris also enjoyed bingo. Her husband fondly remembers Doris as a great cook and fantastic wife.
All are welcome to join Doris’s family at her viewing on Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 9:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Myers - Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055; and at her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church , 400 East Simpson Street, Mechanicsburg, PA; with Reverend Louis P. Ogden celebrating. Doris’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at her church immediately following the Mass. Burial will follow the reception in Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.
The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Joseph Catholic Church , 400 East Simpson Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
