Sunday Family Dinner -
Doris Mae (Donbaugh) Warfield, 79, of Mechanicsburg , died peacefully at Select Specialty Hospital while surrounded by her loving family at her side on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. She was born in Lower Allen Township, PA, on Saturday, April 14, 1934, daughter of the late Edward Franklin Donbaugh and Anna Louella (Wallace) Reeseman. Doris was the wife of Roho Lowell Warfield whom she married on August 6, 1954.
Doris’s survivors include her loving husband of almost 60 years, Roho Lowell Warfield; her daughter, Donna Kabadi and her husband Vinu of North Carolina; her son, R Dan Warfield and his wife Sandy of Mechanicsburg; her grandchildren, Ami Kabadi, Ryan Warfield and Kerrin Goosman and their son Nash, Alyssa DiNatale and her husband Tony, Shila Kabadi, Neel Kabadi; her four sisters, Helen Usztics and her husband John of Dauphin, Eileen Velter of Linglestown, Betty Wisehaupt and her husband Ed of Linglestown, Jeanne Durborow and her husband Richard of Camp Hill; her brother, Barry Donbaugh and his wife Genie of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
Doris’s family remembers, with warm hearts, the Sunday family dinners of roast beef and mashed potatoes and the holiday dinners around “Nana’s” table. She made the best homemade food and was meticulous about her raisin cake, raisin cookies, peanut butter eggs, and sweet iced tea. Doris had a sweet tooth and would often purchase a bag of candy for her son, Dan, and then give him one piece. Doris’s entire life was devoted to her family and she was fiercely proud of all of their accomplishments. She lived through her grandchildren and was especially thrilled to have her great grandson, Nash. Doris was loved deeply and will be missed.
All are welcome to join Doris’s family at her gathering of family and friends on Saturday, March 8, 2014, from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory , 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, with Celebrant Mary Medkeff-Rose officiating. Doris’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Crematory immediately following the service. Burial will be private and at the family’s convenience in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA. Honored to be pallbearers are: Dan Warfield, Vinu Kabadi, Ryan Warfield, Neel Kabadi, Tony DiNatale, Barry Donbaugh, Rodney Filippelli, and Skip Stuyvesant.
