Dorothy “Dottie” Romayne (McKee) Burkholder

Dorothy “Dottie” Romayne (McKee) Burkholder, age 77, of Carlisle, died on Monday, August 28, 2017.  Dottie was born on Wednesday, August 21, 1940 in Newville to the late Wesley McKee and Dorothy (Thomas) McKee.  Dottie was the widow of Clair Lewis Burkholder, who died on January 23, 1990.  In addition to her parents and husband, Dottie is preceded in death by her two children: Holly Burkholder and Kirby Burkholder; her adoptive parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson; and her eight siblings.

Dottie’s survivors include her daughter, Patti Burkholder of Carlisle; her four grandchildren: John Burkholder, who she raised as her son, and his wife, Laura, of Carlisle, Tasha Burkholder, Shane Burkholder, and Wade Burkholder; her six great-grandchildren; and her three siblings.

All are welcome to join Dottie’s family at her graveside service on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at 2:45 p.m. at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens in Carlisle.
