Dorothy “Dot” Anne (Ostash) Cushman Eastlack

Dorothy “Dot” Anne (Ostash) Cushman Eastlack, age 69, of Sun City Center, FL; Levittown, PA; and Fox Chase, PA; peacefully went home to be with the Lord with family by her side on Saturday, June 30, 2018.  Dot was born on Sunday, July 11, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Metro Ostash and Anne (Chemerys) Ostash.  In addition to her parents, Dot is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Julie Herman.

Dot’s survivors include her husband of 26 years, Alfred “Al” H. Eastlack, Sr.; her two daughters: Lisa Herman and her husband, Michael, of Allentown and Jennifer Smith and her husband, Timothy, of Lehighton; her step-son: Alfred “Butch” H. Eastlack, Jr. and his wife, Debbie; her step-daughter: Denise Lederer and her husband, Chuck; her two grandchildren: Brittney Sims and Kelsey Burian-Miller; her three step-grandchildren: Dexter Lederer, Colby Lederer and Taylor Eastlack; her two great-granddaughters: Natalya and Kaylee.

Dot graduated from St. Basil Academy in Jenkintown, PA as part of the class of 1966.  Throughout her life, Dot enjoyed reading and was known to especially like John Grisham and James Patterson. Dot loved spending hours on the beach, especially on Anna Maria Island. If you couldn’t find her, she was probably out back sunbathing by the pool sipping on a glass of wine. Florida was her happy place, especially because it never snowed there. All those who knew Dot knew her love of cooking and baking. She loved to feed others and entertain family and friends. Dot loved to give gifts to others, especially greeting cards. She found a card for every holiday or event. Dot was a great homemaker. Her daughters remember her sewing them clothes and costumes. Dot loved all animals and enjoyed spoiling all of those she could. Her delightful personality could be described as strong and loving. Her loving heart and kind touch will be deeply missed forever.

All are welcome to join Dot’s family at her service on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1028 Church Street, Fogelsville, PA 18051.  Cremation was private.
