Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother

Dorothy “Dot” Mae (Richcreek) Ward, 86, of Mechanicsburg died on Saturday, February 4, 2012, at Manor Care in Camp Hill. She was born in Marsh Run, PA, on Sunday, February 22, 1925, the daughter of the late Jacob Eli and Ellen Mary (Troup) Richcreek. Dorothy was the widow of Preston L. Ward.

Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Shiremanstown First Church of God.

Dorothy’s survivors include her loving children: Preston E. Ward and wife Karen of Mechanicsburg; Donna J. Wehler and husband Bill of Mechanicsburg; Larry K. Ward and wife Jennifer of Mechanicsburg; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother Robert Richcreek of Lewisberry; and a sister Daisy Knaub of Carlisle.

All are welcome to join Dorothy’s family at her viewing on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, from 10:00 until time of service at 11:00 at Myers–Buhrig Funeral Home and Cremator y, 37 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 766-3421, www.Myers-Buhrig.com, with Pastor Floyd Carlen officiating. Burial will immediately follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Shiremanstown First Church of God, 35 S. Locust St., Shiremanstown, PA 17011.
