Edward "Ed" Francis Wlodarski, Sr.
Edward “Ed” Francis Wlodarski, Sr., age 89, of Enola , and formerly of New Britain, CT , died at home on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Ed was born on Tuesday, February 9, 1926 in Farmington, CT to the late Isydore Wlodarski and Bertha (Krul) Wlodarski. Ed was the widower of Irene A. (Yelenak) Wlodarski, to whom he was married for 61 years, and who died on May 1, 2012. In addition to his parents and wife, Ed is preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Ed’s survivors include his children: Deborah Ann Martek and her husband, Robert Bobincheck, of Enola, Edward F. Wlodarski, Jr. and his wife, Linda, of NJ, Cindy Tisdale and her husband, John, of CT; his grandsons: Craig Martek of MA, Zach Martek of New Kingstown; his brother, John Wlodarski of CT; his nieces: Ann Marie and Irma, both of CT; several other nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
Ed graduated from Farmington High School in Farmington, CT. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Ed retired from Stanley Tools in New Britain, CT after 41 years of service working as an engineer. He was a long-time member of St. Maurice Roman Catholic Church in New Britain, CT. Ed enjoyed being a member of Stanley Works Club for retirees.
All are welcome to join Ed’s family on March 10, 2015, at his viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Burritt Hill Funeral Home , 332 Burritt Street, New Britain, CT 06053, and at his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Maurice Roman Catholic Church , 100 Wightman Road, New Britain, CT 06052. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in New Britain, CT. Ed’s family invites everyone to join them for a time of food and fellowship following the burial.
